creeping towards completion

Rich Riggins and I have been working on the artwork for the new album since February. That makes it sound like we haven't been doing anything else, but that's not true. I've slept and ate meals since then. Anyway....we've been working on it for a long time and have reached the final stages. We've been shooting the insert folder for the last few weeks and with just a few changes, we're getting close to being finished. My task now is to figure out how to get everything to fit properly into a template that will not cost me an arm and leg to print. I'm so happy with how everything has turned out and it looks great--it's just a matter of it printing great, being read-able and enjoyable.

We had a few problems with the master, but I'm hoping Doo Da Lang and I will be able to come to a final decision on things with that this week.

I've been properly harrassing area clubs and venues to host the cd release parties, now slated for January. Why is it so hard to get anyone to call you back? Seriously. Even to say "no."

This picture is of me sewing something for the liner notes of the new cd. When I sewed and hand assembled the packaging for my 2005 soundtrack album "re*dress" I swore that i would never do something like that again. It just takes too long. But, that was 2 years ago and I've forgotten my promise to myself. I'm going to do some sewing. I just like creating something that will be one of a kind.

I was so happy to hear that Al Gore and the IPCC were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. No, not "happy". I am proud. and hopeful.
