I'm listening to 69 Love Songs by the Magnetic Fields....a gift from a songwriter friend of mine, Jack McDermott. I put this on my iPod before i left the country in February and spent a good deal of time pondering "Let's Pretend We're Bunny Rabbits" and "Book of Love" whilst staring at equatorial ocean and sky. These kept me company also, on the road last week, as i drove underneath that storm that crossed the SE and poured down rain upon it.
Today, Stephen and his crew are keeping me company while i assemble my tax information. Always a fun time! I didn't get a single W-2 this year....my business was cash only and i keep track of it in a handy spreadsheet. Honesty is always the best policy, especially with the Tax Man. but wow, i didn't realize how much i was spending on food. sadly, food is an essential expense for musicians and other humans. bummer.
