it's a good life, if you don't weaken

Seth, one of my favorite comics writers...that's his title, so i can't take credit for it.
it is a good life. found this nest this summer and kept it. Morgan and I spent the afternoon sitting on the porch, answering emails and phone calls.
made some good connections in NYC this weekend and chatted with my new friend Arthur. he had a story about Bjork to tell me. it was supposed to rain, hard, today. so far, just clouds, but the breeze has been nice and it's still warm enough to dry sheets and clothes out on the line.
i always complain about how much i hate the Fall, because it means that Winter, my nemesis, is coming. but i should be honest: i get most creative in the Fall. i stay inside, with the tools of my trade staring at me, and i write and put down ideas. can't complain about that.
i feel good things are happening for me, although i worry about what happens to everyone if the economy keeps on the way it is. the saving grace is that Art continues. it's an impulse that is hard to control. and even a recession can't stop it.
