Thanks to Lois and crew for putting together the show at James Joyce last night to kick off the Balto Women's Film Fest. I hope their weekend rocks it. The program looks great and I'm a bit sad to be missing it. But i'm off to NYC this afternoon for some networking/performing fun at CMJ! Wish me luck.
OH! So, last night, I'm taking an hour to watch some of HBO's series John Adams with the lovely Paul Giamatti in the title role. I turn to my right, while sitting on the couch, to adjust one of the small speakers sitting on a bookshelf. As I move it, it falls off the shelf and right onto my nose, causing a lovely gash right on the bridge of my nose. I put ice on it and the swelling went down in time for last night's gig, but I woke up looking like I have a bee sting right near my eye (swollen) and a healthy bruise developing around the crash site. oh well. If people ask me what happened, i'll just say: well, times are tough for musicians in Baltimore, and leave it at that.
COME SEE ME ON SUNDAY. by then the thing will have healed, but we can hang together and meditate positively on the election.
