it's not what you think....

this photo is of a plant i bought at IKEA this summer. i was feeling kinda crunched down after the August tour and wanted to add some more green to the porch. i walked by this plant and saw that it was called a "money tree." i had never heard of this and sarcastically thought: of course, it's the money tree....they get you to buy it, then they have your money!"

but, like the sucker i am, i bought it anyway. it's grown alot and stayed healthy since then, despite not alot of sunlight in this house. but i'm putting up a picture of it here, on New Year's Eve. i have a really good feeling about so much stuff that's going on and i think the fact that this plant is thriving is a good good sign. well, i'm going to take it for that anyway. it's my favorite color and continues to grow on only a few things: water and sunglight...you can argue with being able to do so much with so little!

it's New year's eve, so i'm logging off and recovering from the traveling over the holidays. i hope you are safe and with people you love and like to spend time with.

i wish for you the same things i'm going to wish for myself: peace, prosperity, luck and love. see you in the new year!
