things grow.
i was once small, but now i'm not.
things die.
and someday, even though i pretend it won't happen, i will die too. but i hope it's a really long time off.
i have been very lucky in my life. or maybe just open to opportunity. i'm not religious, but i do feel that i have been blessed. and i am grateful for my hands, my feet, my brain (all still working, allegedly!) i am more grateful for love and music. and silliness. goddamn, i'm grateful for that. i had a happy childhood and i have my parents and my sisters to thank for that. i am grateful for all the people that i have known, whether we are still friends or not. i am glad to have learned about life and about myself from the people i have known.
i'm glad i know these 2 dogs
but of all these gifts to me that life has brought, i am most grateful for this one. always in the background, watching out for me.
