unidentified fried-brain objects

sometimes, i can't sleep. and i knew this week was going to be bad, with last minute things that i want to accomplish popping into my head right as i fall asleep, or if i happened to wake up,my brain would starting turning over ideas. and i've had insomnia before, sometimes for a few weeks.

the bummer of being awake and still being tired is that your mind is in this frazzled, blitzed-out state. it's no longer early in the morning by any standards (6:30AM), but i was awake 2.5 hours ago and restless.

i finally decided just to get up and start the day really really early and you would think this would lead to a really productive morning, but no.......i've been reading news and gossip on the InterWebs.

but i did find something interesting....a headline in a news rag i read daily said "Dozens in Texas Town Report Seeing UFO." Apparently, crazy stuff is flying over Stephenville, TX, and the Air Force is assuring citizens that it was sunlight reflecting off of a passing airliner. yeah, right.....

Last year, we were driving back from North Carolina, northward on I-95. Still south of DC, somewhere near Quantico, i saw a bizarre flash of light in the sky and something big appeared to fall from the flash point. i gasped and pointed, but didn't really know what it was. it was as if something exploded and completely disappeared. it was weird and i've always wondered what it was. for sure, we're not the only complex life in the universe, and i'm hoping, really hoping that when aliens do visit Planet Earth (again) and reveal themselves to us, they look like this guy.....
