Baltimore Women's Film Festival/CMJ & HOPE NIGHT!!

hey kids....looking for some places to spend your time that will be worthwhile this weekend....i have some ideas.

TOMORROW, THURSDAY, Oct. 23rd @ 9:30PM....ellen cherry, Acacia Sears, & Dionne will be kicking off the weekend of the Baltimore Women's Film Festival. NOT ONLY will you get to see lots of films by women filmmakers, but you can start the festie by raising a pint with us at James Joyce Pub, 616 S. President Street. NO COVER.

Then, catch the Megabus for $22 and come to CMJ with me this weekend. I'm playing at 10:30 at Googies Lounge, above the Living Room (154 Ludlow Street, NYC) THIS FRIDAY, Oct. 24th. Then I'm spending the weekend recording with my good friend Arthur.

THEN THEN THEN.....on SUNDAY, Oct. 26th @ 7PM. Come to Metro Gallery, 1700 N. Charles Street, Baltimore. Caleb Stine and Wye Oak are hosting an evening of HOPE. It's HOPE NIGHT. proceeds from the evening will go to help get Obama volunteers to Virginia to rally voters. No matter where you stand, you've got to stand for people voting and participating in this democracy....and this night will help restore all our faiths in activism, art, and most importantly: HOPE.

see you soon, i "hope".
